Hello Everyone!

Hope you had a merry and peaceful Christmas as we did, surrounded by family, closest friends and superb, traditional Polish Christmas Eve’s dishes . Poland can pride itself for its old traditions that we cultivate over Christmas. However, because of multinational nature of our family, we celebrate not only Polish traditions but also Italian and Argentinian. My husband and I love the exposure of our kids to different cultures and traditions which teaches them respect towards all other cultures they will meet in the future.  We enjoyed these past few days’  gorgeous weather and we are ready to welcome snow. Our little monsters are so anxious to make a snowman and slide down from a hill in our neighborhood on a sleighs (Polish: sanki). While awaiting the snow, they are still busy enjoying abundant gifts that they received from beloved ones and friends.

As we are getting ready to celebrate the New Year and say goodbye to 2015, I wish everyone a happy, prosperous, healthy, filled with joy and fortunate 2016! And simultaneously, let me thank you for being a part of this journey!

When I was asked by my friend to take few pictures for her scrapbooking blog www.mytimelessexpressions.com , I knew without hesitation that our favorite spot by the lake will give us a breathtaking scenery to take the outstanding pictures.

Daniela was wearing one of my favorite garment for girls , vest which I cannot get enough of  I even suggested my friend Ola she should wear one too along with an oversize hat to match Daniela’s outfit! The girls had tons of fun having their pictures taken. Even though it was rather cold, fall afternoon, great moods prevailed, vests kept them warm and the outcome is indescribable.

You will also notice a slight change in Daniela’s appearance. She lost her first tooth! Imagine her excitement, her siblings cheering for her… Daniela was so overwhelmed with what happened that she carried her tooth with her all day long to show it off.. And you probably assume how this story ends.. She lost it. Now, all of us with the tooth fairy are waiting for the tooth to find us

As I am writing this post by the window, a spectacular view stretches in front of me. Multicolored leaves covered our front yard and keep falling down.  Just next to me there are cookies I baked and decorated with my little helpers which are ready to be packed as goody bags for Tiziano’s  class. We are definitely in a mood and ready to celebrate Halloween.

As you might have noticed at this time of the year comes time to visit our favorite farm – the best place to take pictures in the fall. My cocodrillos were absolutely overwhelmed by the wide choice of pumpkins and the trip wouldn’t be the same without caramel popcorn :-). We left loaded with sugar!

Daniela was wearing this lovely dress that I purchased at the beginning of summer from Numero 74. I must admit I totally forgot about its existence till now that this beautiful fall weather still allows us to play with light garment. The dress is super comfortable, simple, soft and is made of fine textiles. This Italian brand has a unique hand made dresses along with tunics for adults. If you check their website, they also specialize in children room décor, toys and furniture. I am also in possession of one of their beautiful products, which is a canopy that decorates Daniela’s room and is used by me on various occasions for outdoor photoshoots as well as parties.

Today, I would love to share with you my latest findings!

It is certain that if you are a mom of a little girl (or girls) she loooves your make up set, doesn’t she? Each time I put my make-up, Kaia stares curiously at me,  guessing or rather asking ‘what is this’ about every single item, awaiting impatiently to be let to do the exactly same thing. Obviously, you do not want to put any of the beauty products on such a young skin which are loaded with chemicals… Once, she used my waterproof mascara, many of my lipsticks were broken or simply vanished after a careful search performed by my little ladies!  Having found this amazing product I say it has been the greatest gift for Kaia!

She has been a huge enthusiast of it since day one – she puts on lipstick, some blush and walks around the house, showing off her make-up masterpiece! Now, she can apply it along with her mom who is indescribably relieved as this product  guarantees a mess-free environment! You do not need to worry about your little ones staining clothes or even eating these products! It was made from some kind of foam that was delicately dyed so it does feel like real eye shadows, blush or bronzer as you touch it. It is hilarious to watch her ‘applying’ it as it leaves no color whatsoever but it still makes her feel ecstatic! I highly recommend it, especially for toddlers!

Do we sound like a family who frequently embarks on farm adventures? I think so… This year, it was no different – we decided to go to our favorite farm (again ) and cut a tree by ourselves so kids can experience what it is like bringing more of Christmas spirit into our house. I was raving about this for the past few weeks. I totally pictured the entire scene (oh yes!) Namely, snowflakes drifting down from the sky, glittering and dancing, melting on our faces, us heading to the field with kids making snow angels on our way to choose the perfect tree. Movie scene indeed. I was so looking forward to it. When I was little, I vividly remember times when my dad or my mom used to go the woods near our house in search for a tree for Christmas. Snow usually reached our knees. I could hear the snow creaking under the weight of my father’s heavy winter boots. And me, following him, struggling to catch up, simultaneously tracing his footprints. I would love my kids to store the same memories.. And here is where reality kicked in – nothing was as I had planned. It was way too cold for kids to get out of the car, the field with trees was muddy. We simply had to rush to pick the tree and go home. Once we got home, everyone, or maybe just me, was anxious to start decorating. Daniela was zelous to help me out at the beginning but her enthusiasm faded when 30 minutes elapsed. Then, I was left alone to finish the job.

Few days ago, Tiziano and I made gingerbread cookies, decorated with royal icing. Initially, they were supposed to be tree ornaments. Guess what? Today it  has been three days since we decorated our tree and: most cookies at the bottom are gone, those that survived are missing the icing First Christmas miracle? Not at all. Kaia sneaked out and mercilessly stole cookies, licking off the icing. No respect for cookies passionately made by mom

In the pictures below, we are taking a stroll to downtown in order check the Christmas tree at the town square. I was trying to persuade Daniela  to go ice skating  since they have already opened the rink for the season. She told me that she prefers to watch others skating.

All I need to feel Christmas magic is snow. Let it snow, let is snow…

Hello Friends!

When I think of one of the best place to entertain our kids – must be feeding ducks by the lake, of course. Tiziano, when asked what would you like to do today, would promptly propose to go to the lake to see patos (ducks). It always astonishes me how simple it is to make  kids happy. He was overjoyed to see ducks zealously approaching the dock in order to get some food. One fearless duck came directly on the dock forging for snacks. By the way, the food machine was stating “fish food” but I honestly doubt fish were able to even taste it because the ducks were so quick to grab the snacks that these little fish were left without a chance.

Even though it is already pretty chilly, I could still have Tiziano spent his time playing without a heavy, thick jacket on. Lately, I am quite obsessed with hoodies, hence, I purchased many for the kiddos. The hoodie my little fellow was wearing that day, comes from a brand called Salt City Emporium. As the name implies, they are located in Salt Lake City (UT). This garment is so soft, has a gorgeous retro inspired graphic on and is also environmentally friendly ink that was used in creating the design. They have very cool, organic made T-shirts, and  this one is on my to-get-list. “We have created a successful lifestyle brand that allows modern family an intriguing destination for style.”- Salt City Emporium’s motto.

As this week is festive in the U.S, I wish everyone a Happy and Healthy Thanksgiving!

Happy Wednesday Everyone!

Let me tell you – I am glad Halloween happens once a year.. Otherwise I would die from sugar overdose along with my kiddos. We are still recovering from that day… Today, while cleaning our front yard with a leaf-blower, Titi found candy and there it was – a Mr. Kool-Aid smile! And then I killed the spark of joy by saying he was so not going to have it… He was heartbroken. Mr. Kool-Aid smile was gone… Guilty as charged, I took a bag of sweets (yes, the same one I promised not to ever show them again) and let us indulge ourselves a little more. We would finish all of these anyways. Excuses, excuses… As you see – recovering is not going so well. We all need a little detox

I was so anxious to take these pictures just in time, before all leaves perfectly disappear.  I even reminded my husband to not to remove any of them from our front yard so I could take few good shoots. It was also a great day since my auntie came to visit with her lovely Pellito – as you can see from Daniela’s face expression, she was over the moon playing with her tiny friend. I will reiterate, my most favorite season of all, so many things to be grateful for…

November, welcome! Not only is it a month of giving thanks (this should last all year as far as I am concerned) but also lower temperatures and chilly, windy days. Time has arrived and we have to put warmer clothes on – no excuses here whatsoever.

When I spotted this poncho I just could not resist a temptation of buying it for Daniela. Immediately, I envisioned a perfect match: poncho with the ridding pants from H&M. In addition, the hat that really completed the entire outfit. Even though I felt it might be a little big for Daniela right now, that is ok – it is going to fit her next year and then will be passed on Kaia, never too many accessories! With getting heavy outwear for my kiddos , I decided to wait until so called last minute which is probably this week or so because it is getting cold out here. The reason for waiting so long is mid-season sale and who doesn’t like sales….?

It is official – fall is finally here.. This multicolored time of the year is absolutely my favorite season which I am always impatiently looking forward to. These vibrant colors of red and orange inspire me instantly so I grab my camera and shoot picturesque scenes encountered while walking in a park. That was the plan when we decided to take a stroll with kiddos.  We took a basket in order to glean some leaves and acorns to carry out some projects later on. However, we ended up at a play ground instead. There is an extensive outdoor area provided for children to play in the central part of the playground, therefore overjoyed cocodrillos were way too exited to play and I got the lovely task of trying to find acorns. I found none…

Tiziano was wearing leggings from Izzy&Ferd, clothes for little explorers. I do not quiet remember where I learned about this new brand from (it could have been my lovely PINTEREST), but their garment have cute designs of a very good quality, inspired by sea-theme. The company assures everything is 100% machine washable – I washed it already few times and there is no sign of damage whatsoever. In addittion, all clothes are designed and manufactured in Los Angeles, USA. Because my little one looks so adorable in them, I decided to get one more pair with a different print here.

Hooded sweatshirt that was teamed up with legging, on the other hand, was designed and made in Poland. Their message is “we are rebellious but cute“, and the name of the brand is KUKUKIDS. It is simply a perfect sweatshirt. It has a pretty warm inner to wear for chilly days in the fall but is not too thick to put on in the spring. When I first showed picture of Tiziano wearing this Dino hoodie, my friend asked me if that was his costume for Halloween. Really??? Couple minutes later I came to conclusion that it actually could work as a costume considering that he is the only one missing it.

I have been thinking of getting a fury jacket or vest for Daniela for a little while. I did not realize that it was going to be so easy to find one! Zara did not let me down this year at all! This gorgeous vest matches the red legging perfectly.. I noticed fashion is leaning towards fury jackets this fall (just take a look at the windows display…) Perhaps I should consider getting one for myself :-). To tell you the truth, I am growing a little jealous of my daughter’s closet

Daniela is such a tomboy; she has an inclination towards climbing  trees, back in a countryside she  climbed so high that to bring her down help was needed, playing soccer is  one of her favorite activities, she is called  by her guys buddies”future Messi”. Also, combing her hair isn’t something that she loves, and she goes to the school tangled hair. So, this outfit is sooo her.

Daniela’s pants are from czesiociuch (here) and the fabric is pretty thick, so they are going to be good for winter as well, I am planning to buy one more pair in blue since she like them.

  Since I am a huge advocate of supporting people ,who facilitate donation for kids in need, I strongly recommend you to check out Los Angeles based designer Lariotkids( here) where 15% of their profit goes to charity. I am about to get whole collection of their hats. Ultimately, my goal will be to try to design kids clothes myself and with some amount of percentage try to help less fortunate children.

Daniela was wearing a romper that i got on zulily.com from Mim-Pi. It’s a Dutch clothing mark that has a very cool kids wear, I will definitly get some more items from them for the next season. The romper is really cute, good quality and it looks nice on Daniela because of her tan skin-)))) She wanted to wear it for a two days in a row. When i sneaked peaked at their fall collection there are so many colorfull and girly clothes to choose from(here)

Tiziano was wearing shirt and shorts that i got from zulily.com as well. The fabric is light and breathable. Therefore, was perfect for hot days,like the one we took a foto shoot.
