Browsing through my kids wardrobe I suddenly realized that they are growing up pretty fast.Last year I was delighted that Daniela had plenty of clothes to wear so I did not have to run in search for new garments for this season.Not the case as a matter of fact  the whole  bulk of  clothing will now go to my youngest daughter, Kaia. Beside outgrowing  all of her clothes  she is also more aware of her taste in them and therefore she is a little picky on choosing outfits, her new fashion style she is  growing  her bangs and refusing to wear glittery,ruffled dresses. She loves leggings (preferable leopard prints)and sweat shirts . Unlike my youngest Cocodrillo (Kaia) who loves girlish stuff  the more ruffles the better for her, even in different weather conditions hot or cold she still prefers  a dress along with her toys (Shopkins). I ‘m terrified to shop at Target with her because every time she sees the toy department she convinces me to buy her another set of  Shopinks ,and as you may know if you are a mother of a Shopkins lover kid,  that these are very tiny toys and you spend a lot of time picking them up from the floor so they are not swept away or vacuumed.  Besides I know that her up coming birthday party will be Shopkins themed. As for my middle Cocodrillo  (Tiziano), this boy lets me put on him any outfit I chose without any fuss for the exception  on this one  when  gorgeous mustard color  winter jacket  that I bought for him at Zara with a furry hood  boy he did not like that, he  refused to wear to  school because he believed  that they would make fun of him for wearing fur. After some convincing and taking the furry part out of hood he agreed to wear it. So, at the end of the day I related the story to his teacher and she laughed because she had complemented him on his brand new jacket but he sure did not tell her about the fur problem that he had with this jacket. He  also tends to be a story teller in school not always the truth but nothing crazy it’s always  some story regarding our family,such as our cat was sick and had a surgery,doctor had to cut his guts out, mom doesn’t love her morning coffee but daddy makes it for her anyways things like that so I was surprised that he did not have a great story for the class about his mustard color fury hood jacket.

Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving !

I do not know how about you but every year when Black Friday craziness ceases, I am anxiously waiting for Christmas. Still crazy because the entire time is filled with shopping for gifts for friends and beloved ones, however, I do love everything about it – planing how to decorate the Christmas tree, baking tons of cookies and sending Christmas cards to my entire family in Poland. This year Daniela is so grown that she has been asking how many days are left until Christmas. Therefore I bought chocolate calendars for each of my cocodrillos from which one chocolate can be excreted every day till December 24th. This way, Daniela will not ask too often and will acquire a better sense of time. Today is day number 2 and Kaia is already done with her calendar. Guess she is celebrating already..

Since it was quite warm outside recently, Daniela enjoyed her company with Pelito, and during one of their escapades she was wearing this outfit: school-like, lovely jacket that was purchased for Daniela’s cousin Klara (3 years old). It can still fit Daniela! I paired it with a pair of snickers which Daniela is absolutely in love with it. I suppose she might wear them on heavy snowy days lol.

When I was asked by my friend to take few pictures for her scrapbooking blog www.mytimelessexpressions.com , I knew without hesitation that our favorite spot by the lake will give us a breathtaking scenery to take the outstanding pictures.

Daniela was wearing one of my favorite garment for girls , vest which I cannot get enough of  I even suggested my friend Ola she should wear one too along with an oversize hat to match Daniela’s outfit! The girls had tons of fun having their pictures taken. Even though it was rather cold, fall afternoon, great moods prevailed, vests kept them warm and the outcome is indescribable.

You will also notice a slight change in Daniela’s appearance. She lost her first tooth! Imagine her excitement, her siblings cheering for her… Daniela was so overwhelmed with what happened that she carried her tooth with her all day long to show it off.. And you probably assume how this story ends.. She lost it. Now, all of us with the tooth fairy are waiting for the tooth to find us

As I am writing this post by the window, a spectacular view stretches in front of me. Multicolored leaves covered our front yard and keep falling down.  Just next to me there are cookies I baked and decorated with my little helpers which are ready to be packed as goody bags for Tiziano’s  class. We are definitely in a mood and ready to celebrate Halloween.

As you might have noticed at this time of the year comes time to visit our favorite farm – the best place to take pictures in the fall. My cocodrillos were absolutely overwhelmed by the wide choice of pumpkins and the trip wouldn’t be the same without caramel popcorn :-). We left loaded with sugar!

Daniela was wearing this lovely dress that I purchased at the beginning of summer from Numero 74. I must admit I totally forgot about its existence till now that this beautiful fall weather still allows us to play with light garment. The dress is super comfortable, simple, soft and is made of fine textiles. This Italian brand has a unique hand made dresses along with tunics for adults. If you check their website, they also specialize in children room décor, toys and furniture. I am also in possession of one of their beautiful products, which is a canopy that decorates Daniela’s room and is used by me on various occasions for outdoor photoshoots as well as parties.

Happy Wednesday Friends!

Summer is in full swing, kids are out of school and are enjoying numerous fun summer camps unlike my boy Tiziano who repeatedly refuses to go and attend but would rather stay home with mummy. Daniela, on the other hand, has fully recovered from the surgery and has joined gymnastics camp which she absolutely loves… Hallelujah!

For the past week or so, Daniela was talking about having a picnic. I wanted it to be in a different location than our backyard, to make it more of an event, adventure for my girls. As you may assume, I had my vision for that too Us, eating healthy snacks by the lake with the sunset in the background. We are blessed to live in area where place like this is easily accessible and we can get there in no time… Sunday was such a sunny day. Therefore, I rushed to pack things in the car. As soon as we got there, clouds filled the sky… No sunset watching for us, nevertheless, girls still had a blast and really appreciated the picnic. Daniela is already looking forward to next one

Kaia was wearing a top from “littletrendsetter” which I absolutely adore for its color, softness and overall chic style. They do have such stylish dresses for girls with very elaborative details (crochet trim on Kaia’s top) as well as fashionable accessories such as Daniela’s sunnies .

BF stands for best friend.  I don’t recall having such a close  friend in my childhood as Daniela has.  Maybe it’s because her friend Laila lives next door and it’s just a jump over the fence? Many of their hours are spent together and that’s still not enough . They both share so many common interests and a passion for  wild life.  They have both recently been intrigued by so many caterpillars walking around – naming them and saying goodbye every time their playtime comes to an end.  Daniela often comes home with Laila’s clothes on after playing dress up as princesses. When I asked her why she  replied: “Because we played a fashion walk.” You can just picture Daniela with Laila’s garments :- )) So over sized (Lol). They also spend countless hours on a trampoline.  I often spot them eating and reading books on it.  And with Tiziano getting big now, both girls exclude him from their play circle leaving the poor boy in tears.  As we plan our move from the current neighborhood, I realize just how devastating it will be for all of us to be separated from such a lovely friendship.

As we took a stroll in Downtown to get an ice cream, Daniela was wearing a blouse from Beau loves, where all their clothes are made with love in the UK ( I adore those huge bugs on )complemented with distressed shorts from Gymboree. Shorts are my recent purchase ( on sale) and I decided to distress

them to go with a fashion flow.

It is been a while since I made an appearance over here – let me blame my other passions for it, they keep me extremely busy… Newborn and maternity photography, crochet and cake design on the top of that. I cherish them all. Each day, whenever I have just a little spare time from my kids, I take some alone time with my hobbies.

Even though snow is still abundantly laying down on the ground and resists to melt down, I can feel spring is just around the corner. The other day I jumped with joy having seen grocery stores are selling already daffodils and tulips. Couple more weeks left…  These flowers are simply a herald of the spring for me so I purchased a bouquet so I could enjoy having them on my table. Sadly, they were lost while I was dragging grocery bags in the parking lot to the car, while heavy rain was pouring on me mercilessly.

When stopping by at some kids fashion blogs, I had a chance to admire outfits for upcoming spring season already. Hence, I know what I want to get for my little ladies from a new collection. Nosweet (as you may remember from previous posts) has a gorgeous and a very girly dress with watermelon print. Bobo choses and watermelon snickers – that is a pick for Kaia. Looks like this print is going to prevail in spring as well as summer collection. I am planning on making a tutorial on how to do a T-shirt with a watermelon design on an iron paper. Other kids’ brands resorted to sea-creatures patterns: Mini Rodini and KUKUKIDS. However, since it is still cold outside, I prefer Daniela wears goodies I have already purchased for her…

Yes, you see it right –  a wild, furry vest. Although Danny owns few of them I could not resist…! It goes perfect with either denim or a sophisticated dress – compliments and completes every outfit It is hand-made and its superb fabric quality will make buying it irresistible for you as well. SMOCK is a relatively new brand, revealing passion for designing kids’ clothes. You will definitely see my kids wearing more items from them. I am so looking forward to seeing what they will offer us in upcoming season!

When there is no chance to play outside due to the weather condition (like today: 10F!), we opt for indoors places such as the one below – a nature center, at very convienient distance from our house and kids are simply looooove spending time there. The center is nestled on 120 acres of forest preserve and presents a world of discovery through interpretive ehxibits as well as informative books, games etc. The little ones spend time playing and learning about forest, exploring animals and their natural habitats. Tiziano is capable of spending countless amount of time watching turtles as if somebody mesmerized him. Daniela was more into observing birds, these as red cardinal, with daddy through binocular – sorry, while taking pictures red cardinal disappeared lol ).

Tiziano wore a sweat jacket along with a top with one of his favorite animal print from Lycorne. Daniela’s girly top with gorgeous tiny ruffled sleves was unfortunetly hidden under the sweater.

Lycorne is an Australian brand that was established in 2013 by a French couple settled in ,with a great experience within design and fashion who cooperated with certain European brands. Lycorne is a French word and means unicorn. Why unicorn? Unicorn are given different characteristics depending on the country and the culture that describes them. However, it always includes innocence, purity, joy, intelligence and that is exactly what kids are like. Unicorns are considered to be imaginary, or purely, mythical animals. Their appearance in the history and writings of so many different countries over many, many centuries seems to me to be more than imagination or coincidence. There are numerous wonderful animals alive nowadays, and many that have become extinct (even in our lifetime). Hence, how hard is it to imagine a horse with a single horn? Here is our message: we do not want kids to extinct, i.e. we object to turning kids into little adults. Kids have to stay kids and Lycorne clothes allows them to show their true free spirit, with a little French touch.

Few days ago, my big boy Tiziano turned 3! He requested a cake with  fire truck theme and he celebrated his birthday with two of his closest friends and family. PLEASE! Can somebody freeze the time?  They are growing way too fast… As you can see, he mastered the art of making faces perfectly..

Happy Birthday My Little Treasure!

Hello Friends!

When I think of one of the best place to entertain our kids – must be feeding ducks by the lake, of course. Tiziano, when asked what would you like to do today, would promptly propose to go to the lake to see patos (ducks). It always astonishes me how simple it is to make  kids happy. He was overjoyed to see ducks zealously approaching the dock in order to get some food. One fearless duck came directly on the dock forging for snacks. By the way, the food machine was stating “fish food” but I honestly doubt fish were able to even taste it because the ducks were so quick to grab the snacks that these little fish were left without a chance.

Even though it is already pretty chilly, I could still have Tiziano spent his time playing without a heavy, thick jacket on. Lately, I am quite obsessed with hoodies, hence, I purchased many for the kiddos. The hoodie my little fellow was wearing that day, comes from a brand called Salt City Emporium. As the name implies, they are located in Salt Lake City (UT). This garment is so soft, has a gorgeous retro inspired graphic on and is also environmentally friendly ink that was used in creating the design. They have very cool, organic made T-shirts, and  this one is on my to-get-list. “We have created a successful lifestyle brand that allows modern family an intriguing destination for style.”- Salt City Emporium’s motto.

Happy Weekend Friends!

Even though I adore fall, I cannot help but wonder when snow is going to fall, making everything outside icy-kissed. I do not kow why maybe because it is getting colder outside, trees are losing their gorgeous leaves and are getting naked or maybe because Thanksgiving is around the  corner and then it is Christmas… I can nostalgically recall last year when ground was covered in a blanket of pillowy white puff, house was abundantly decorated, fire place on and scent of cinnamon lingering in our house. Pure magic. Maybe that is why…

Yesterday, Daniela and I took a stroll to a coffee shop. When there is an option for a hot chocolate, I do not need to ask her twice – shoes are on in no time!  Her favorite spot to go is Starbucks because she can get additional treat such as a cake pop. Although we make them at home and these are much, much taster, she just drags me to buy one (must be pink!). The weather was favorable so she could wear this adorable, fuzzy sweater-jacket that I purchased at J.CREW a few days ago with 20% off (lovely semi sales..). I must tell you it is really warm, made of alpaca wool and nylon – perfect for days when heavy coats are too much to wear. What is more, she feels comfortable wearing it and it does not refrain her from playing at the playground. I bought this sweater two sizes up on purpose, to get the oversized look. Then I paired it with Tiziano’s scarf and hat from Zara to achieve more casual look. As I have been into grey color recently, I am in search of a sweater in that color but I could not find one that will satisfy my taste. Therefore, I subconsciously got one for my daughter (lol).
